'Flowers of the Heart' is the debut album of Near Lakes - a musical project of Scottish artist Ali Murray, who is mostly known for his dark introspective ambient project The Lonely Bell.

In this project, we find Murray treading lighter/brighter sonic territories, incorporating fragments of classical music, jazz & soul into gentle airy dreamscapes of plaintive ambience and melancholic drones that makes one nostalgic for quiet sleepy summer days of years gone by, spent outside in nature, lost in reverie...

Dedicated to the memory of Hank.
