Lost Tribe Sound Massive earth-churning basslines crawl erratically through uneasy layers of mechanical interruptions, distant guitar, and gaseous noir-style trumpet. Just enough luminance creeps into the music to keep these dreamscapes from turning sour. Opaque. Unsettling. Oddly comforting. Makes me want to explore all of Drawing Virtual Gardens back-catalog.

Krysalisound A great album out of any genres. That's the kind of exploration that I love. David's sound is a continue evolution of colours, always better like a good wine. Another masterpiece in the Shimmering Moods catalogue, well done! Highly recommended Favorite track: A missed stolen lunch at the canteen.

about

~logues is the 6th solo album of David Gutman under the monicker of Drawing Virtual Gardens.
All his bodywork heavily focuses on exploring the sub conscious interconnections between personal memories and sounds. For this specific work, a regular sampling work done on a Korg Synth Monologue triggers a chain of thoughts: focusing on the synth name and extrapolating its suffix and now album’s title, he starts running through its poliedric purposes, revamping the memory of a trip, his first one to London in 1997, visiting his brother in soul Marco. The week spent there is a significative turnpoint under different perspectives. Of these, one is the discovering of Toshinori Kondo’s KI OKU album, chosen by chance from a shelf in a SOHO music shop, without having idea of the kind of music he was going to face. Listened the same evening in a room of the King College dorm with Marco, the album heavily hits his developing musical horizons, becoming a permanent aesthetic reference. ~logues is a reminiscence of such week with its dialogues, dreams, expectations all moved by Toshinori’s trumpet, now evoked by Kristof Decoster interventions. At the time of ending the recording process, during the mix and mastering, almost as to mark the end of a inner journey to still be understood, Toshinori Kondo sadly passed to a higher spiritual dimension at his home, 10,000 kms away, but in the heart always present nearby.
