The field recordings presented on this album are travel notes made in the past years between 2006 and 2019.
Listening to the field recordings makes it possible to experience the past moment and travel in time and space. When listening to the recordings of our tour guide Ramazan with shepherds in the Taurus mountains, I can see that particular moment when we’re sitting near a well, and there are sheep grazing on the grass close to us, and I can feel the very spicy pepper on my tongue.
Missed Calls is the picture of the past moments with the coexisting nature, city and religious soundscapes recorded in Morocco, Turkey, Indonesia, Spain, Sweden, France, Italy and Poland.
