Kindness emerges as a virtue when acted upon in situations that seemingly justify unkind responses. It’s often in the midst of turmoil, pain, and conflict that these acts of kindness are most needed, and appreciated. To me, this album paints the tumultuous backdrop upon which we often find ourselves and gives voice to the hope that can always be found in despair. This album forced me to shift my perspective in order to appreciate it, and for that, I am grateful.
